A community of ideas for bushfire readiness

Fire In Mind is for all Australians who live with the risk of bushfire.

Fire In Mind is:

  • An online community bushfire forum and social network
  • A bushfire book and equipment store (including the classic Joan Webster bushfire books)
  • A bushfire websites directory
  • A blog- Reflections on Living with Bushfire Risk; and
  • A bushfire information website

We aim to encourage and assist individuals and communities to live in the Australian bush with greater awareness, skill and confidence about bushfire risk. Bushfire preparation is complex; there are no quick fixes or simple solutions. Being ready for bushfire is an evolving, ongoing process. The more we ask, share, think, plan, prepare, and practice, the safer we’ll be and the more chance we’ll have a house at the end of it.
